Sound familiar??? 😂💸🏡

You’ve spent months (and probably a fair amount of money!) renovating your home.

Every detail considered. Every finish chosen. Everything looking just right…

And then you look outside and well it’s a tip! The garden is still has vibes of the aftermath of the building work. It’s a depressing sight!😬

Well you won’t be the first to forget the garden! Money might be tight right now, but the first step towards making a change is getting plan together. That’s where I can help 😊

I’ve helped many a client transform their garden after a home renovation — taking those tired, unfinished spaces and turning them into gardens that finally feel like they belong with the house.

If you’d like some help in getting that plan together, send me a message and I’ll guide you through how I can help 📩🙂

And if you’re currently renovating, this is your sign not to leave the garden until last!🌿

The person behind the account 👋🏻

Is this just me? Socials can be great but they often give you a snapshot. With many just assuming you’re the next influencer just trying to make a buck.

But the reality is for me that I’ve actually done years of hard graft. Learned the hard way. 💪🏻

Do I know everything? No. Doubt I ever will. Like anyone I’m not perfect and I’m always learning. I actually turned the microwave on today without putting anything in it expecting it to cook! 🤪🙈

But in this arena I might actually know more than you think. Here’s what I offer:

🌿 For the planners - ‘Getting Started’ consultations are perfect for those wanting to know all of the essentials like what to expect, materials on offer, finding a reputable contractor, budgeting and much more.

🌿 For the designer dreamers - A Garden Design Consultation we take an aerial view of your garden and explores all of the tips and tricks that will help make it something special.

🌿 For the DIYers - I have a ‘DIY patio Consultation’ that gives you the basic knowledge you’ll need to do a professional job. Perfect for those wanting to avoid the cost of hiring a company.

🌿 For the planting novices - While I can’t guarantee this won’t happen 🤪 I can offer some useful tips on planting design, estimating quantities and what plants will work best where.

Here’s the value 👇🏻 A professionally designed garden can open your eyes to possibilities you simply hadn’t considered. 🌿

It’s so easy to look at your own garden and see the same problems, the same awkward spaces and the same limitations 😕 But having someone step in with a fresh perspective can completely change how you see it 🙂

And this is where a professional garden design offers something AI imagery simply can’t.

Yes, AI can create beautiful pictures. But it doesn’t know how your family actually uses your garden. It doesn’t understand the way you want to feel when you step outside, the practical challenges of your space, the compromises you’re willing to make, or the little details that will make it work for you.

That human conversation matters. ❤️

A well-designed garden can genuinely transform your lifestyle. It can give you somewhere to relax, entertain, eat, play with the children, enjoy your morning coffee or simply escape at the end of a long day 😊☕️🌿

And whilst I completely understand that a full garden design package is an investment — and may not be right for everyone — that doesn’t mean you have to figure it all out alone…

A consultation can be a much more affordable way to get professional advice, fresh ideas and a clear direction for your garden, while still allowing you to take on the work yourself.

If you’re struggling to see the potential in your own garden, I’d love to help you see it differently. ✨

Save this post for when you’re ready to start planning your garden transformation, and send me a DM if you’d like to chat about how I can help.📩

If your garden boundaries are giving more “meh” vibes than “designer”, this is for you 👀🌿

There are three simple ways to get that high-end, designer garden look:

🌿 Green boundaries — hedges, climbers and trees, with layers of planting in front. The planting draws your eye into the garden rather than straight to the fence.

🪵 Hardwood or slatted fencing — a simple way to instantly elevate the look of a boundary.

🖤 Darkened fencing — one of my favourite inexpensive tricks. Darken the fence so it visually disappears, then layer planting in front of it. The result? A much softer, more expensive-looking boundary.

You don’t always need a huge budget to make your garden look more considered. Sometimes it’s about knowing where to put your money… and where not to.

💚 Save this for your next garden project!

🌿 Salvia nemorosa ‘Caradonna’

This is one of those plants that just works beautifully in a sunny border. ‘Caradonna’ has gorgeous deep purple flower spikes that stand upright above the foliage, giving the planting a lovely bit of height and structure. It’s also a favourite with the bees, which is always a bonus!

☀️ Conditions: Full sun is best, with well-drained soil. It doesn’t enjoy sitting in wet ground.

✂️ Maintenance: Give it a little tidy once the first flowers have faded and you’ll often get another flush of blooms. Cut it back after flowering has finished to keep it looking neat.

🌾 Stipa tenuissima

If you want movement in your garden, this is a brilliant choice. Stipa tenuissima is light, airy and beautifully soft, with fine, feathery foliage that dances around in even the slightest breeze. It gives planting a much more relaxed, natural feel and looks especially lovely when planted in groups.

☀️ Conditions: Full sun and well-drained soil. It’s quite happy in dry or poorer soil too.

✂️ Maintenance: Really easy! Just give it a good comb through in spring to remove the old foliage. There’s no need to fuss over it.

🌸 Geum ‘Mai Tai’

I absolutely love the colour of this one!!! ‘Mai Tai’ produces gorgeous soft peachy-apricot flowers that sit above fresh green foliage. It’s a lovely way of adding a bit of warmth to a planting scheme without the colour being to punchy.

☀️ Conditions: Happy in
