Registrations for Switch Together, a solar panel group buying scheme, closes this month 🏠 ⚡ ☀️

This initiative aims to harness the collective buying power of local households and businesses to help make getting solar panels installed easier and cheaper than it would otherwise be.

National Trust's Holnicote estate says restored wetlands and rivers offer proof of resilience to drought, wildfires and flooding 🌲 🌳

Arial footage of the estate highlights the benefits of rewilding land in the face of increasing temperatures, brought about by climate change. Images show that areas that have been rewilded remained green and lush during the five heatwaves across the summer whilst the surrounding countryside has become parched and brown.

Excellent achievement from Warrington Borough Council - ranking 5th for Bikeability training in England!

Thousands of young people have received the training, developing confidence and encouraging sustainable ways of travel🚲🌎

Cycling has health and wellbeing benefits whilst also helping to reduce air pollution in the town.

🚲 Great news for Warrington! We've been ranked joint 5th in England for delivering Bikeability cycle training, reaching an impressive 81% of Year 6 pupils, well above the national average of 54%.

Thousands of young people are gaining the skills and confidence to cycle safely, independently and confidently. 👏

The group buying scheme brings together residents who are interested in installing solar panels, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging. Group-buying aims to make purchasing solar panels and batteries much more accessible and affordable than if residents were to individually buy solar panels on their own.

The Switch Together scheme also provides residents and businesses with an opportunity to combat rising energy prices by generating their own clean energy.
