๐ฎโโ๏ธ Meet Your Local Team ๐
Iโm PCSO Sam Baker and Iโve been a Police Community Support Officer for 5ยฝ years, with the last 2ยฝ years serving this neighbourhood. ๐๐
Before joining policing, I spent a lot of time travelling and meeting people from all kinds of backgrounds. Those experiences helped shape my passion for working with communities, listening to concerns, and helping people find solutions to problems.
Iโm particularly passionate about tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and working with young people. I want them to understand that the police are here to help, support and listen, and that interactions with us don't always have to be for negative reasons. ๐
I also work closely with our partner agencies to help safeguard vulnerable people and make sure support is available where itโs needed most. ๐ค
What I love about this area is the variety it brings. Every day is different, and the diverse range of people, places and situations means thereโs always an opportunity to make a positive difference.
When you see me out on patrol, I hope youโll feel comfortable enough to stop and speak to me, whether you have a concern, need some advice, or simply want to say hello. ๐
If speaking to a police officer or PCSO feels a little daunting, please remember that weโre ordinary people too. Weโll always do our best to treat everyone with kindness, respect and understanding, and weโre here to help and support our communities.
๐ฌ One thing Iโd like local residents to know about me is that Iโm approachable. If you have a question or concern, just come and ask. Iโm always happy to chat and see how I can help.
I look forward to meeting more of you while out and about across the neighbourhood. If you spot me on patrol, please do come and say hello! ๐
As part of the Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee uplift, new officers have joined teams across Dorset. We thought it would be a great opportunity to reintroduce the officers working in your community and help you get to know your local policing team. You will see further posts over the next couple of weeks introducing the team.
