RTC - A351 SANDFORD.

There has been a collision near the Lidl store in Sandford on the A351 involving three vehicles.
This inevitably will cause some congestion in the area while emergency services deal with the incident. Please allow a little bit of extra time if you have to travel this way.

👮‍♂️ Meet Your Local Team 👋

I'm PCSO Chris Rosenberg (5485). I've spent my entire policing career, 16 years!, working in this neighbourhood, which has given me the opportunity to get to know the area and many of the people who live here.

Before joining Dorset Police, I spent four years serving in the Army. Before becoming a PCSO, I also worked as a security guard at a leisure centre. Originally, I thought I'd spend a few years as a PCSO before moving on to become a Police Constable. However, it didn't take long for me to realise how much I enjoyed the role, and I've never looked back!

The variety of neighbourhood policing is something I really enjoy. Working in a rural area brings a wide range of challenges and opportunities to help people. The scenery of our patch is also one of my favourite things about the area.

Supporting victims of scams is a particularly important part of my role. By providing advice and reassurance, we can often help prevent further victims and reduce the impact of these crimes.

👋 When I am on patrol I hope it reassures you that we're out there, visible in the community and ready to help.

👮‍♂️ Meet Your Local Team 👋

I'm PC Luke Taylor (2925). I've been with Dorset Police for 11 years as a Police Constable, and before that I spent 8 years as a PCSO.

🚓I wanted to join the Police from a young age and have always wanted to help the community. Helping people in their time of need trying to help make Dorset a safer place.

Before joining Dorset Police at the age of 21, I worked in a Special Educational Needs school, and I've also previously worked on Patrol before moving into neighbourhood policing.

I love the area I work in and feel passionate about making it a safe place to live, work and visit. The community has always been very welcoming! I particularly love the summer season, with all the local events and carnivals that bring our communities together. Also working by the sea is hard to beat!🌊

I enjoy tackling problem premises and problem individuals, working closely with partner agencies to find long-term solutions that make a real difference.✅

I want you to feel safe, reassured, and comfortable enough to stop and have a chat. If you have a concern, question, or simply want to say hello, please do!

Anti-social behaviour - Swanage.

This summer Police have received numerous calls to attend the old language school, Harrow House in Swanage following sightings of young people entering the site, trying to gain access to the inside of the building and causing damage. On some occasions people are even garden hopping through adjoining properties to try to enter the grounds and putting their lives at risk by climbing up on to the roof to try and enter the building.

Not only is it private land but the grounds and building itself are dangerous.

The building is now completely surrounded by Heras fencing which is covered in anti-climb paint and is protected by 'Daleks' that operate 24/7 and can see when people have entered the grounds and records CCTV images.

If you are a parent of a teen in Swanage please have a quick chat about the dangers of entering such places. And if they come home covered in black anti-climb paint, definitely have a chat about the dangers of entering such places.

I’m PCSO Sam Baker and I’ve been a Police Community Support Officer for 5½ years, with the last 2½ years serving this neighbourhood. 🚓💙

Before joining policing, I spent a lot of time travelling and meeting people from all kinds of backgrounds. Those experiences helped shape my passion for working with communities, listening to concerns, and helping people find solutions to problems.

I’m particularly passionate about tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and working with young people. I want them to understand that the police are here to help, support and listen, and that interactions with us don't always have to be for negative reasons. 👍
I also work closely with our partner agencies to help safeguard vulnerable people and make sure support is available where it’s needed most. 🤝

What I love about this area is the variety it brings. Every day is different, and the diverse range of people, places and situations means there’s always an opportunity to make a positive difference.

When you see me out on patrol, I hope you’ll feel comfortable enough to stop and speak to me, whether you have a concern, need some advice, or simply want to say hello. 👋

If speaking to a police officer or PCSO feels a little daunting, please remember that we’re ordinary people too. We’ll always do our best to treat everyone with kindness, respect and understanding, and we’re here to help and support our communities.

APPEAL | We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a report of outraging public decency in Studland.

We received a report of a man seen performing an indecent act in the area of the naturist section of Studland Beach at around 3.15pm on Wednesday 15 July 2026.

The man is described as white, aged in his 50s or 60s and was wearing a white baseball cap.

Police Constable Jake Ward, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident, and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information regarding the identity of the man involved to please contact us.

“I would also urge anyone who witnesses any suspicious activity in the area to please report it to us.”

The Mobile Police Station was at Stretche Road Car Park, Wareham, this morning, where we spoke with several members of the community about local issues and concerns.

We were able to offer advice, answer questions, and signpost some individuals to other agencies for further support.

We also received reports of anti-social behaviour involving motorbikes and cars in the area. This information has been shared with the Wareham Neighbourhood Policing Team, who will be carrying out local patrols to address these concerns.

👮‍♂️ Meet Your Local Team 👋

I’m PCSO Sarah Hart (5301) and I’ve served as a Police Community Support Officer for 19½ years, with the last 7 years working in this neighbourhood. 🚓💙

The thing that first attracted me to the role was the variety. No two days are ever the same, and that’s something I still love today. The best part of neighbourhood policing is being able to help and reassure people, while also offering crime prevention advice to help keep our communities safe.

Two issues I’m particularly passionate about helping people with are raising awareness of scams and resolving anti-social behaviour issues. Scams are becoming increasingly common, and I want to help people stay informed and protected. I also know how much anti-social behaviour can affect quality of life, so helping residents feel more comfortable and peaceful in their neighbourhood is very important to me.
We’re lucky to work in such a beautiful part of Dorset. 🌳🌻 From the stunning countryside to the wonderful local communities, it’s a fantastic area to patrol. When you see me out on patrol, I hope you feel safe and reassured. If you ever have a question, concern, or simply want a chat, please don’t hesitate to approach me. We’re here to help, and it doesn’t always have to be about crime.

🐶 In fact, if you’re out walking your dog, please come and say hello! I love dogs and will probably be saying hello to them before you get the chance! 😄

APPEAL | We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information following a fire involving a barn in East Lulworth.

Dorset Police received a report from the fire service at 3.20am on Saturday 15 August 2026 regarding the fire involving bales of hay in a barn, which also spread to a nearby unoccupied property.

The fire service has brought the fire under control and enquiries to establish the cause of the fire remain ongoing.

Detective Sergeant Erin Kinghorn, of Dorset County CID, said: "At this time, the cause of the fire remains undetermined. Enquiries are ongoing, and we continue to liaise with Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service as part of our investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.

“I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information relating to any individual who may be responsible for this fire, to please make contact with us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have witnesses any suspicious activity in the surrounding area during the early hours of Saturday 15 August, or captured any relevant footage on dashcam, home CCTV or doorbell cameras.”
