This Saturday marks the start of our 10 year birthday celebrations over the course of the weekend. On Saturday we are looking at engagement with Wildlife and have a program of free informative wildlife talks with local and Essex Wildlife Trust experts. Come along and join us for the following:

10:00 AM - Welcome to The Naze and birthday cake cutting.
10:30 AM - Sea Grass Recovery Talk with our marine biologists Tia Hewitson & Alex Smith.
11:00 AM - Wilder Rivers and Protected Species Manager Darren Tansley, talks about river health and volunteer River Champion work.
11:30 AM - British Divers Marine Life Rescue talk with Neil Marples
12:30 PM - Essex Rocks Presentation with Peter Dimmick
13:00 PM - Walton Against Lazy Litterers (WALLYS) talk with Rachel Barford
13:30 PM - Hamford Water's Fisher's Estuarine Moth talk with Leon Woodrow
14:30 PM - Bird Talk with Bird Aware's Tom Welby

Billy the Badger will be in attendance during the day and there is also free bug hunting in the afternoon with Hannah Nixon, come and have a go at sweep netting!

Last Monday our lovely Ladybirders met with Liz Huxley and had a fantastic walk around The Naze. There were some very special birds spotted and some very happy Ladybirders.

Our visitors centre is having new tills installed today. We are have our fingers crossed that it will be a smooth change over with limited impact on our visitors. However, there could be a few teething issues. Please bare with us while we upgrade, your patience is appreciated 💚

Did you know we hold sessions for home educating families once a month? Next Tuesday we'll be going down to the seashore to explore the beach and pools and see what creatures we can find. Back at the centre, we'll have a closer look at our finds and discover how animals are adapted for life on the beach. Can't make this one? Next month we'll be looking out for super seals and learning all about food chains and webs. For more information and booking see the link in the comments.
