Quick update for our follwowers and any new followers that join …Opening of Hersham Play Cafe will be postponed to end of Feb/begining of March 2025….
We have still got stuff to sort in the background and want to make sure everything is PERFECT before a launch date

So we're opening a loose parts play café............................................

But what is loose parts play?
Loose parts play is a type of activity which involves objects or natural materials that are used by children during their playtime.

During loose parts play, children are provided with open-ended materials that encourage them to solve problems, think critically, be creative, and use their imagination. These loose parts can be moved, stacked, put together, carried, or broken apart.

The concept of loose parts play is that it allows little ones to explore their learning environment in a way that is safe and stimulating. There's not much apprehension about the loose parts being damaged or destroyed as the nature of loose parts play is to encourage children to experiment with the materials as they play.

Children are also encouraged to manipulate the loose parts to reach their desired outcome, and because of this, children can exercise their brain, muscles, senses and imagination to think about ways to use the materials in various scenarios. This creates a wonderful and crucial learning opportunity for children to explore freely.

We look forward to the opening of our exciting new and different play café in Hersham and very much look forward to meeting many of you soon.
