❤️ Knowing what to do in an emergency can save a life. ❤️

It’s fantastic to see local people working hard to improve community safety by providing access to defibrillators, bleed kits and free CPR training. You never know when these skills or pieces of equipment may be needed, but they can make all the difference in those critical first few minutes.

Please take a moment to support this worthwhile initiative and share with friends and family. Every contribution helps make our community a safer place. 💙

One year ago, The Local Hub opened its doors to the community, and what a year it has been.

Having been involved in the project for many years and serving as a trustee, it fills me with pride to see what has been achieved. From the early days of plans, funding bids and construction work, to becoming a thriving community space used by so many local people, the journey has been remarkable.

Later in the year I was also honoured, as Mayor of Walsall, to officially open the Hub, making the occasion even more special for me personally.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Hub along the way – the volunteers, staff, trustees, funders, partners and, most importantly, the community. Here’s to many more years of friendship, support, opportunity and community spirit. 💙🏡🎉

Proud to be part of The Bloxwich Flag journey. What started as an idea back in 2016 became a reality when the flag was officially registered with the Flag Institute in June 2017.

To now see it flying proudly in locations across Bloxwich and even beyond is something really special. It has become a symbol of pride in our town, our heritage and our community spirit.

Every time I see The Bloxwich Flag flying, it reminds me just how much people care about our town. Here’s to seeing it in many more places for years to come. 👏

Congratulations to everyone involved in organising today’s D-Day Celebrations at All Saints Church Grounds, Bloxwich.

I had the pleasure of attending and it was fantastic to see such a great turnout, with so many people coming together to remember those who served while enjoying a wonderful community event.

There was a real buzz around the site, plenty to see and do, and the organisers, volunteers, stallholders and entertainers all deserve a huge thank you for their hard work in making the day such a success.

If you haven’t been along yet, there’s still time to get there! And don’t miss the Star Wars characters who are making an appearance and proving very popular with visitors.

Well done to the Royal British Legion Bloxwich Branch and everyone who helped make this such a memorable day. 🇬🇧

What a mess in Bloxwich today. Sadly, it was raining and I didn’t have my litter-picking equipment with me, but I’ve reported it as fly-tipping.

It’s disappointing to see areas spoiled like this. Fly-tipping not only makes our areas look untidy but also costs taxpayers money to clear up. Hopefully it will be removed quickly and those responsible can be identified.

Let’s all do our bit to keep Bloxwich clean and take pride in our community. 👍

It’s fantastic to see the improvements at King George V Memorial Playing Fields really starting to take shape.

We worked alongside the Former Bloxwich East Councillors to push for investment in the site and to highlight the difference these improvements could make to the local community.

I walk past the site most days, and it’s great to see the progress being made. To now see this investment becoming a reality is extremely rewarding. These improvements will help transform King George’s into a flagship venue for Bloxwich, providing high-quality facilities for residents, sports clubs and community groups for many years to come.

As someone who served as a councillor for 22 years and had the incredible privilege of being Mayor of Walsall for the past year, I have been fortunate enough to meet hundreds of volunteers from every corner of our borough.

During Volunteers’ Week, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who gives their time, skills and energy to help others. Whether you volunteer in community groups, charities, sports clubs, faith organisations, schools, libraries, food banks, parks, hospitals, or simply look out for your neighbours, you make a real difference.

I have seen first-hand the impact volunteers have on people’s lives. They are the beating heart of our communities, often working quietly behind the scenes without expecting recognition or reward.

Walsall is blessed with an army of dedicated volunteers whose kindness, compassion and commitment help make our borough a better place to live, work and visit.

Thank you for everything you do. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and our communities are stronger because of you.

Happy Volunteers’ Week! 💜
