He's behind you! There's a new pantomime in Walsll this year that's great for the family. Here's the link but we're also keen to hear your earliest pantomime memory. With us, it was Uncle Ron in his school's production of Jack and the Beanstalk...

Centre in a brand new Pantomime adventure for all the family. The classic fairy tale is given a complete makeover with all the songs, terrible jokes, ‘shouty bits’ and silliness a panto needs, combined with the magic of the original story.

This isn't an event as such, but if you have children you'll love taking them through woodland this weekend. There's lovely autumn colour, leaves to kick through and fresh air. Merrions Wood in Great Barr is perfect. It's just off Skip Lane.

Ah, bonfires. Fireworks, tradition, toffee apples. That kind of thing. You can come and join ours at Holland Park, Brownhills. Car Park Entry off The Parade. Pedestrian Entrance is through Chester Road North & The Parade. Gates open 6pm. Food available, children's rides, bonfire lit at 7pm, fireworks 8pm - 8.20pm.
