Resident Doctors industrial action starts from 7am Monday 15 June and runs until 7am Friday 19 June.

Some NHS services will be affected.

If you have a scheduled appointment you will be contacted by the relavant NHS service if your appointment needs to be changed. If you have not been contacted, you should attend any scheduled appointments as previously indicated.

During industrial action, the NHS urges you to continue to come forward for the care you need.

People across Cheshire and Merseyside , including Wirral, are being urged to use NHS 111 ( online or via phone ) , or the NHS App , for non-emergency healthcare needs.

If someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk, you should still call 999 or go to an Accident & Emergency department.

If you’re going out, walk in the shade, apply sunscreen, wear a hat, sunglasses and light, loose-fitting, light-coloured clothes. Drink plenty of fluids and avoid excess alcohol 🫗
