Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers.

Launched in 1984, this initiative has been running for over 40 years, providing organisations and communities a platform to thank current and past volunteers for their invaluable efforts.

The campaign highlights the diversity and unity of volunteer work across the UK. In its 40th year, the campaign underwent a rebrand, introducing a vibrant identity to inspire continued engagement.

The 2026 celebration will run from Monday 1st – Sunday 7th June.

Sands awareness month

June is Sands Awareness Month 💛 A time to raise awareness of stillbirth and neonatal death, and the lasting impact of losing a baby before, during or shortly after birth.

For a long time, baby loss has been difficult to talk about. Many people still don’t realise how common it is, or how deeply it affects families. While progress has been made in breaking the silence, there is still more to do.

This month gives a voice to those who have experienced loss, and reminds us that over 100 babies die every week in June and all year round🕯️

World MS Day brings people together to raise awareness of multiple sclerosis (MS), share stories, and support everyone affected by the condition. It’s a reminder that MS can impact anyone, and that early support, understanding and connection make a real difference.
