Water Safety Week is just around the corner.

Now that the weather is getting a little warmer, it can be tempting to cool off in the water. There are NO safe bodies of water outdoors to swim in in the Wakefield district.

Swimming in open water puts your life at risk.

During the May half term, we'll be working with local partners to deliver water safety demonstrations. Learn the dangers of cold-water shock, practice how to safely use a throw line, and even learn how to deliver CPR.

Remember: Phone, float, throw. 🛟
