We are holding another open evening on Wed 29th April!!
It is the perfect opportunity to come along and give our ensembles a go with no charge and no pressure! Whether you play woodwind, brass, percussion, strings, guitar or sing, we have something you can get involved with. Our Junior Wind Band, Junior String Ensemble, and Prep Guitar Group all start at 5:30 pm and are the perfect place for young or beginning musicians to start. Just turn up! We also have Wakefield Youth Choir, Beat It Percussion Ensemble, and our exciting music tech group.

If you are interested in our senior ensembles, please get in touch and we will help you find the right group for you.

Welcome back everyone to an amazing summer term of music making. We particularly want to mention all of our young people and schools who are about to enter the height of exam season. We wish you all the best!

We had an amazing night at the very first WMS ROCKS! at WX - Wakefield Exchange. Wakefield Music Services Session Orchestra, Jazz Orchestra, Rock Band and Electric Sky all played brilliantly. Huge thanks to all the staff that made this happen!
