Town Team Meeting Update – 21 January 2026
The Town Team held its first meeting of 2026 on Wednesday 21st January, and it was fantastic to see such strong attendance. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to a really productive start to the year.

Our Town Co‑ordinator shared updates on the various projects and plans currently in motion. One of the most exciting early‑stage ideas is the exploration of a pump track for the town.

For anyone unfamiliar, a pump track is a continuous loop of rollers, bumps, and banked turns designed for bikes, scooters, skateboards and similar wheels. Riders generate momentum not by pedalling, but by “pumping” their bodies through the track’s features—making it a fun, skill‑building, and accessible activity for a wide range of ages.

This concept is still in its infancy, but we’re keen to explore it further. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be meeting with the Town Council to look into the technical considerations, including maintenance requirements, long‑term viability, and the legal aspects involved. These discussions will help us understand what would be needed to take the project forward.

We’ll continue to keep everyone updated as things progress.
