❄️ CARRYING IN THE COLD ❄️

It's definitely getting cold now, and many are wondering and getting anxious about keeping baby warm. Here is my helpful guide remember though, be mindful on what you are doing when carrying in the cold. Standing watching a display or going for a walk will need different layers.

Remember I have jackets and covers for hire!

❄️ NO SNOWSUITS
Snowsuits and pramsuits are not for in slings. These create overheating and poor position.

❄️ LAYER UP
Layer up, remembering that each layer of a sling or carrier is at least one. Woolie cardis are great. Ensure that scarves don't cover babies face.

❄️ COATS OR COVER
Investing in a babywearing coat is great, but an oversized coat or cover is also good.

❄️ COVER EXTREMITIES
If you don't have a coat or cover, concentrate on extremities. Always give baby a hat!

❄️ FOOTWEAR
Beware of where you are walking, and choose appropriate footwear to prevent slips and falls.

A lovely local company getting some deserved recognition

As a parent of 3 preemies, I'd love to know what they conclude

Hospitals in several countries saw dips in premature births, which could be a starting point for future research.

Monday 23rd is your last chance to borrow a carrier for over the festive period.

Slings are a great way to keep babies and toddlers close if you don't want them passed around and can provide a comforting space if they are overwhelmed or tired. They can help you be hands free to eat Christmas dinner too!

Hello lovely people. We have been home from the hospital a few days now so I'm hoping to come to group tomorrow (21st Oct). Can't guarantee when we will arrive but we will try our best!

Just realised, I haven't introduced our newest member! Skin to skin slingy cuddles in hospital with Elowen who is now 2 weeks old!
