Wealden Volunteering We promote volunteering, supporting the charities that need volunteers. Come in and see us on Uckfield High Street, or at one of our pop-ups.

We also provide office services: laminating, copying, scanning + lots of useful local information. Centre for connecting volunteers with voluntary opportunities.

We have a wide range of roles on our website, and one particular sector is that of Governance.

These tend to be general Trustee roles but include Finance specialists, Chairpersons, Fundraisers, even School Governors.

NEW ROLE: Show Steward

The South of England Agricultural Society (SEAS) is a registered charity that funds and supports agricultural education and countryside learning and part of this remit is the provision of educational events such as the South of England Show, Spring Live! and the Autumn Show.

They now seek volunteer Show Stewards.

Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy their shows and meet new people whilst helping the Society. SEAS volunteers are a valued part of the team, assisting with the running of their shows and fulfilling their charitable objectives, as well as ensuring visitors have a great day out.

Enthusiastic volunteer is sought to help us open the store for a couple of hours a week to sort through the donated items for display, and to meet & greet members, helping them find the items they are looking for.

There is NO upper age limit for this role, (however please be aware that this position may involve SOME heavy lifting, as occasionally donated boxes of items may contain heavy materials).

CATERING TEAM MEMBERS SOUGHT

The Bluebell Railway is one of the UK’s leading heritage railways, operating steam and diesel trains between Sheffield Park, Horsted Keynes, Kingscote and East Grinstead.

Catering opportunities are available on different days and times depending on the location and type of catering. This can include daytime, evening and weekend opportunities, particularly during special events and dining services.

Volunteers are able to choose the turns they wish to work making volunteer flexible and able to fit around your existing commitments.
