Boost your child’s confidence going into the new school year with after school maths club, designed to strengthen skills, fill knowledge gaps & build exam-ready confidence.

Whether preparing for assessments or GCSEs, qualified maths teacher Josephine is delivering structured lessons after school each week for Y7-11 students at the Pelican Centre.

Congratulations to Joe, Ellie & Zach who recently passed their Level 2 apprenticeships with the Pelican Centre! We believe strongly in growing our own talent, training & creating careers for local young people that builds a sustainable business.

The Pelican Centre will be open on Bank Holiday Monday from 8am – 8pm.

Please note:
✔️ Swimming lessons will be running as normal
❌ Classes will NOT be running

Bike storage now available! 🚲

You’re sure to have noticed the new bicycle storage unit outside the centre’s main reception.

We’re really grateful to those who’ve helped with the unit’s funding, giving Tyldesley FREE, secure bicycle storage that encourages our local community to leave the car at home & cycle instead.

✔️ The unit is locked at all times. If you’d like to use it, please ask at reception
✔️ The unit is covered by CCTV
✔️ Anyone can use the bike storage – you don’t have to be a Pelican Centre member

Please don’t stand or climb on the unit.

A reminder to keep swimming safely this summer 🏊

The Pelican Centre is committed to water safety education that keeps you safe in the water, both indoors & outdoors.

With the summer coming to a close, we know how tempting one final dip outdoors might be, but everyone in our community – including children, teens & parents – should be aware of the dangers of swimming in unsupervised open water, & know how to avoid preventable injuries & deaths.
