All the staff at Turriff would like to say a huge congratulations to one of our members, Jennifer, on completing her skydive this Monday.
Jennifer is a much valued customer at our facilities, and we could not be prouder of her incredible achievement.
On Monday, Jennifer completed a tandem skydive from 10,000 feet to raise money for Friends of ANCHOR.
Last year, Jennifer was diagnosed with Grade 4 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and has since shown remarkable strength and determination in completing her chemotherapy treatment, another challenge she faced with incredible courage and resilience.
Jennifer has spoken about the exceptional support she received from Friends of Anchor during such a difficult time and wanted to give back so that others could benefit from the same care and support.
Alongside her son and daughter in law, Jennifer has raised an amazing £4,800 for this wonderful charity through taking on this challenge.
Anyone who knows Jennifer knows what a strong, kind and caring person she is. We are all inspired by the way she has faced every obstacle with positivity and determination, and by her willingness to help others even after everything she has been through.
The original plan was for Jennifer and her family to complete the skydive on Sunday, but due to poor weather conditions it had to be postponed until Monday. Typical Jennifer, when she was moved to the front of the queue, she joked, “Someone will have to show you how to do it!”, a comment that didn't surprise any of us and perfectly reflects her sense of humour.
Jennifer, we are incredibly proud of you. Congratulations on this fantastic achievement, and thank you for being such an inspiration to us all❤️
