Llannon Community Council – Community Safety Update
Llannon Community Council is disappointed to report that play equipment at Tumble Park was deliberately set on fire last night.
At approximately 10:40pm, a fire was deliberately set, causing significant damage to the play mound and tunnel.
The portaloo has also been subject to repeated vandalism, resulting in a £2,500 bill last week. Following further vandalism last night, the decision has been taken to remove the portaloo completely.
Both matters have been reported to the Police, and enquiries are ongoing, including a review of CCTV footage.
These facilities belong to the whole community. Damage of this kind reduces what is available for local children and families.
We encourage anyone with information to contact the Police, and we ask parents and carers to remind young people of the serious risks associated with fire‑setting.
Please take extra care around Tumble Park late at night. Unfortunately, this is not the first incident of this nature, and the safety of our community remains our highest priority.

Mae Cyngor Cymuned Llannon yn siomedig o orfod adrodd bod offer chwarae ym Mharc y Tymbl wedi cael eu llosgi’n fwriadol neithiwr.
Tua 10:40pm, gosodwyd tân yn fwriadol, a gwnaeth hyn achosi niwed sylweddol i’r twmpath chwarae a’r twnnel.
Mae’r toiled ‘portaloo’ hefyd wedi bod yn destun fandaliaeth dro ar ôl tro, gan arwain at gost o £2,500 yr wythnos diwethaf. Yn sgil rhagor o ddifrod neithiwr, mae penderfyniad wedi’i wneud i waredu’r toiled ‘portaloo’ yn gyfan gwbl.
Mae’r ddau fater wedi’u hadrodd i’r Heddlu, ac mae ymholiadau’n parhau, gan gynnwys adolygu’r delweddau CCTV.
Mae’r cyfleusterau hyn yn perthyn i’r gymuned gyfan. Mae difrod o’r fath yn lleihau’r hyn sydd ar gael i blant a theuluoedd lleol.
Rydym yn annog unrhyw un sydd â gwybodaeth i gysylltu â’r Heddlu, ac yn gofyn i rieni a gofalwyr atgoffa pobl ifanc o’r peryglon difrifol sy’n gysylltiedig â gosod tân.
Cymerwch ofal ychwanegol o amgylch Parc y Tymbl yn hwyr y nos. Yn anffodus, nid dyma’r digwyddiad cyntaf o’r math hwn, ac mae diogelwch ein cymuned yn parhau i fod yn brif flaenoriaeth.
