Devon & Cornwall Police covers the largest geographical police area in England, extending 180 miles from the Dorset and Somerset borders in the east to the Isles of Scilly in the west. Our policing area includes the cities of Exeter and Plymouth, popular seaside resorts such as Torquay and Newquay, and a large rural population, each of which present very different policing challenges. The area's p

The force is split into three geographical areas; Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Plymouth and Devon, each with its own commander. These areas are further broken down into sectors and neighbourhood beats which form the bases of the local policing teams. As Tunes in the Dunes approaches, we’ll be out and about on patrol to provide a visible presence across the community.

Over the busy weekend, we can deal with a number of incidents involving young people and alcohol.

If our officers see any under 18s with alcohol, it will be seized. It’s not about punishment, but about keeping young people safe and preventing harm.

If you know a young person heading out this weekend, take a moment to check in and know where they are.
