Come One and All tonight to celebrate 75 years of working hard for all communities in Cornwall! A free event with a nos lowen, concert, drinks and food, open to all.

75 years ago, in 1951, a small number of young, brave and hard-working Cornish activists gathered at the Oates Temperance Hotel Cornish in Redruth with the ambition to set up a movement that would stand up for Cornwall. Helena Charles was elected as the first chair, while the novelist Daphne du Maurier was another early member. We are now back in Redruth, the birthplace of the movement, to celebrate the achievements of our members and supporters. Kernow Rydh, our vibrant youth wing, and allied parties across Europe will be joining us to speak about our efforts to set up a Cornish Parliament.

Our Cornish language is a really important part of our heritage, culture, identity and economy. It's great that Cornwall Council has published a strategy to develop Cornish. It's disappointing, but not surprising, that particular parties are questioning its value. We'll always speak up for Kernewek – and the many benefits it brings to our communities. Hope these myth busters help! Ni a wra kewsel Kernewek 👍 Onen hag oll 🥳 Kernow bys vyken 🎉

Last night, Newquay Town Council became the 25th Cornish council to call time on South West Water, when councillors unanimously voted in favour of a motion calling for the privatised utility to be taken back into public ownership!
The Dowr Glan / Sick of SWW campaign is growing fast! People in Cornwall have had enough of profits flowing into private hands while sewage flows into our waterways and onto our beaches.

We are Kernow deserves lemmyn!

Check if your parish or town council has signed up and how you can help with getting Kernow rid of SWW at www.DowrGlan.org
