Please help keep Cornwall clean this half-term.

When you’re out and about, make sure you put your rubbish in the bin or take it home with you. If you’re walking your dog, remember to bag and bin any waste.

Littering can result in a £250 fine, and dog fouling offences may lead to a £100 penalty.

If you’re planning a beach barbecue this weekend, please make sure you dispose of it safely.

If there's a BBQ bin nearby, use it. If there isn’t, make sure the BBQ is completely cold before putting it in a bin or taking it away with you.

Never put a hot BBQ in a plastic bin and never bury one in the sand, as this can cause serious injuries.

Household Waste and Recycling Centres in Cornwall will be open as usual over the bank holiday weekend, from 9am-4pm.

If you’re visiting Newquay, Saltash, St Erth, Bude, Launceston, St Austell or Bodmin (Lanivet), please remember you’ll need to book a slot in advance.

We're collecting rubbish, food waste and recycling as normal on bank holiday Monday - May 25.

Please put your waste out for us by 7am if yours is due for collection.

All household waste and recycling centres will be open as usual too.

Join The Big Fix this May!

Got a coat zip that needs replacing? A kettle that’s stopped working? Cornwall’s Repair Cafés are a chance to get things fixed instead of thrown away.

Pop into your local Repair Café and meet friendly volunteers who can help you repair items, reuse more and learn new skills.

Callington, Godolphin, Liskeard, Millbrook, Portreath, Stoke Climsland, Carlon Parish and Tregony Repair Cafés are also looking for more volunteers.
