For more than a century, people around the world have marked International Woman's Day on the 8th March.

the seeds were planted in 1908, when 15.000 women marched through New York City demanding shorter working hours, better pay and the right to vote.
it has gone from strength to strength ever since. πŸ’šπŸ€πŸ’œ

Hi families with little ones! πŸ‘Ά πŸ’š

Join us this Thursday 6 March for a World Book Day celebration for families with 0–5s in Redruth πŸ“š. This free event is open to all local families with little ones – no booking required.

The best bit? ✨ We are working with World Book Day (UK & Ireland) to give every little one who attends the chance to choose a free book to keep, so you can enjoy the magic of stories together at home. πŸŽ‰

If your child loves animals, adventures or Paddington, they’ll love this event. 🐻

Here’s what’s in store… 🀩

Meet our lovely team, Jo and Nina, at Redruth Family Hub at 1pm. We’ll walk up Drump Road to East End Park for story time, an animal themed treasure hunt, songs and parachute games. (Be sure to wear your wellies)! 🌳

Shared reading can make a big difference to your little one’s development and wellbeing. And when children get to choose their own books, they’re even more likely to enjoy reading and experience its benefits – from improved learning to happy futures. ☺️

How do you at home (or out and about)? Share your stories in the comments below.

We'll go first! πŸ‘‹ ⬇️ ✏️
