🏋️‍♀️ Exciting improvements at Calne Community Campus gym!

The gym has been refreshed with new equipment, more workout space and a modern new look, helping more people stay active and achieve their fitness goals.

If you're travelling through Trowbridge next week, please be aware of overnight closures on Bythesea Road.

To allow surfacing and utility works to take place as part of the Longfield Gyratory improvement scheme, closures will be in place on 11 September and 14-18 September, from 7pm to 6am each night.

Please follow signed diversion routes. Access to Cradle Bridge Retail Park and St Stephen's Place will be maintained throughout the closures, with the diversion route allowing use of Market Street and Castle Street to reach these areas.

Foster carers Steve and Cheralyn are sharing their experience of supporting children with additional needs and the rewards that come with helping them thrive.

As Steve says, “You don’t need to be an expert, just prepared to learn.” With training, support and guidance from Wiltshire Council, you could make a real difference in a child’s life.

After smoking for 55 years, farmer Paul decided it was time to quit. With the support of Wiltshire Health Coaches, he’s now smoke free and feels much less stressed. Paul says he couldn’t have done it without the support of his Health Coach.

What does a typical day look like when fostering a child with additional needs?

For foster carer Cheralyn, it's often an early start, balancing medication, personal care, school runs, appointments and much more.

It's a role that demands patience, resilience and commitment. But for the children who need it, having the right foster carer can change everything.

We're looking for more people to foster children and young people with additional needs in Wiltshire. You'll receive specialist training, financial support and guidance every step of the way.
