For some young people in care, feeling accepted and understood can be life changing.
When everything else feels uncertain, having someone who listens, supports and creates a safe space to be themselves can make a huge difference.

Foster carers provide that sense of belonging - offering stability, reassurance and a home where children can feel valued for who they are.

It’s not about having all the answers. It’s about being there, showing patience and helping a child feel safe and accepted.

Small moments matter.
A lift to school.
A shared meal at the end of the day.
A quiet chat after something’s gone wrong.

These are the moments that help children feel safe, valued and understood.

For children in care, it’s these everyday routines and simple acts of care that build trust, create stability and help them begin to feel at home.

Fostering isn’t about grand gestures - it’s about being there, consistently, through the small moments that make the biggest difference.
This is fostering.

There’s no one way to foster - and no one type of foster carer.

People from all backgrounds, identities and experiences can make a difference.
This Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈, we’re celebrating a fostering community where people can be themselves and help create safe, supportive homes for children who need them most.

💛 You don’t have to fit a mould to foster - you just need to care.

“It’s about giving a child somewhere they feel safe enough to be themselves.”

A safe place. A sense of belonging. The chance to just be a child.

For children in care, having somewhere they feel comfortable, accepted and secure can make all the difference – helping them build trust, grow in confidence, and start to feel at home.

Foster carers provide that space. Not by being perfect, but by showing up with care, patience and consistency, every day.
This is fostering.

A stable home. A consistent routine. Someone who’s there, day after day.

Foster carers provide that safety, stability and reassurance - helping children feel secure, build trust and begin to thrive.

It’s not about having all the answers or being perfect. It’s about offering a safe, supportive place when a child needs it most.
