As part of Heritage Open Days, Tring Town Council, together with the Tring & District Local History & Museum Society, is opening the doors to the historic Council Chamber at 61 High Street, Tring.

Discover the fascinating history and heritage of this unique building, with knowledgeable stewards on hand to share stories, answer your questions, and uncover the wealth of history hidden within its walls.

Tring Walking Football is gaining momentum following a stellar season that saw two of their teams gaining promotion. The club is delighted to expand its community impact after securing a third set of goals, made possible by a generous district grant from Councillor Sally Symington and ongoing support from Tring School and the Sports Centre. This will allow the club to welcome even more players to its non-contact, social training nights on Wednesdays while also boosting their capacity to host friendly tournaments with neighbouring local clubs.

The squad is hosting their next charity tournament on Saturday, 5th September in aid of Greenfingers Charity which builds therapeutic gardens in children's hospices and all the money that is raised at the tournament will be donated to Greenfingers. TWF is also inviting teams to take part in its Xmas tournament on Saturday 19th December.

Tring Walking Football are also hoping to run dedicated training sessions for ladies in the autumn. To register your interest or find out more, please contact Peter on 07909 026090 or at [email protected].

Last year, 99% of parents applied this way and found the system quick, easy and secure. The closing date for applications is Saturday 31 October 2026.
