Calling All Knitters & Wool Donors!

The Riverside Resource Centre is proud to be a collection point for Baby Basics Northampton, a fantastic charity supporting families with young children

We are currently looking for:

🧶 Donations of wool (all colours and sizes welcome)
🧶 Volunteer knitters who would be willing to create beautiful handmade items for babies and families in need
🧶 Knitted baby hats, blankets, cardigans, booties and other baby essentials

Every knitted item and every ball of wool donated helps make a real difference to local families.

If you enjoy knitting and would like to put your skills to good use, or if you have spare wool tucked away at home, we would love to hear from you.

We have set up a Swap & Share Bookcase within our community hub, creating a welcoming space where local residents can take a book, leave a book, and enjoy the benefits of reading and sharing with others.

We are reaching out to local businesses, organisations and general public to ask whether you would consider donating any books to help us fill our bookcase that our lovely volunteer Peter put in situ for us.
Our aim is to encourage reading, reduce waste, and provide a free community resource that can be enjoyed by people of all ages :)

We had a bumper donation collection for Baby Basics Northampton this week

A huge thank you to everybody who took the time to pop into the Riverside Resource Centre on Islington Road and donate such lovely items for such a worthy cause. Your kindness and generosity really will make a difference to local families in need.

If you have any baby items you would like to donate, we are always happy to collect them as we have regular collections taking place.
