The store will shut on 6th June at 5pm but will reopen on 17th July at 10am.

Ah..one of the joys of being a Councillor is receiving messages from people you don't know. Found this in my message requests.

Maybe I should see if I can have some pot holes installed outside his house? ;)

Does anyone know of a local charity, mens shed or good cause that would like a train set?

It’s on an 8ft by 4ft board with removable legs.
Includes several trains, buildings and scenery.
It was a working project so plenty of scope for someone to make it their own!

It really needs to go to a loving home where it'll be cherished.

Any ideas? Please get in touch!

BARTLEY WATER - ENVIRONMENT AGENCY - FLOOD ALERT
Updated 8:29am on 27 November 2024
At Ashurst Bridge and Woodland Road (near to Hazel Grove), the water level is high and rising. In the last 10 hours, half a month’s rain (32mm) has been recorded in Testwood. This is a large amount in a short period of time, especially when it follows a wet weekend. From 09:00 Wednesday morning (27/11/2024) out of bank flooding will affect land, roads and gardens at Woodlands and Ashurst. The depth of water in roads at Ashurst could be significant. Impacts are not expected at Totton, Rumbridge or Eling. Rain clears to the east at 09:00 and the rest of Wednesday should remain dry. The river should peak around 11:00 27/11/2024 and will remain high for at least an hour before it finally begins to fall. Our operational staff will ensure that reported blockages are cleared. We continue to monitor the forecast. Please avoid driving through floodwater, it will be very deep in some locations in Ashurst. This Flood Alert will be updated by 12:00 on 28/11/2024.

£6m BOOST TO TOTTON ECONOMY?

It's generally regarded that 80% of people in the UK are adults.

Therefore, there are 23,200 adults in Totton and if each one spent just £5 per week at local businesses that would be worth over £6million to the Totton economy...

Adam, our CEO, has some sad news to share with you:

We were victims of a break-in at Minstead Lodge last week that saw thieves steal vehicles and tools worth over £50,000.

It has left many of the people we support feeling angry, upset or unsettled - including Liam, Dave, Kevin and Marc pictured here.

While our insurance will go some way to covering costs, there will inevitably be a significant shortfall, as well as extra security costs.

If anyone feels moved to help us with a financial contribution to cover these unplanned costs, I would be hugely grateful.

Thank you as always for your support in helping us bring positivity and change to the world, even in difficult times.
