If you’re heading out for a picnic or spot of lunch at your local park or beach, please follow some simple steps to help keep the South Hams clean and enjoyable for everyone:

🚮 Please use litter bins - but if they're full, take all of your rubbish and recycling home with you

💧 Bring a reusable water bottle – reduce plastic waste

🍽️ Pack reusable cutlery and plates for your picnic

We are supporting residents who are finding it hard to make ends meet.

If you are a for low-income household, or Devon care leaver, who is struggling with money or has an urgent crisis, please get in touch.

Later in the year, we will also help with practical everyday essentials such as slow cookers, electric blankets, warm clothing and other basics will also be available to help through winter.

We’re making improvements to the Fore Street public toilets in Kingsbridge 🚽 🚾

We are refurbishing the Fore Street loos to make them more modern – the works will be done in phases from Monday 8 June for around six weeks, so there will always be toilets available for you to use throughout the works.

The refurbishment is part of our wider commitment to invest in our communities - we’re also looking at refurbishing the Quay toilets later in the year.

Thanks for your patience while we carry out the works.
