The evidence of the harm social media is doing to children’s attainment, behaviour and wellbeing is now impossible to ignore.

When it comes to children, we have always taken a precautionary approach.

We restrict alcohol and ci******es, because we know they are not safe for children.

But when it comes to smartphones and social media, we have totally abandoned this.

Children are being exposed to extreme violent content, sexual material and online strangers in ways that would never be accepted in the real world.

Offline, no parent would tolerate it. Yet online, age protections have been allowed to drift away.

It doesn’t have to be this way. We can and must do more.

Parents must always be the first line of defence but we know that parents are crying out for support, because they can not act alone. They want the Government's help so they do not isolate their own child.

That is why a future Conservative government will restrict social media to only those aged 16 and over to help families and protect childhood.

But this cannot wait until 2029, we have a chance to make a change now.

So on Wednesday we are forcing a vote in Parliament.

Tell Labour you want action now by signing our petition.

This is not about censoring adults or waging war on technology.

Conservatives have always acted to protect children, while allowing adults to go about their lives freely.

But government does have a duty to set clear, enforceable rules that help parents and put children first.

We should also be honest about how these platforms work. Many are deliberately engineered to be addictive, feeding anxiety, comparison and constant distraction.

When children’s attention and wellbeing become the business model, parents are left fighting a losing battle.

This policy also sits alongside our commitment to ban mobile phones in schools.

Together they reflect a simple Conservative principle: children need space to learn, concentrate and mature before being pushed into adult pressures and adult content.

We want to support parents, not sideline them. And we want to protect freedom for adults while giving children the chance of a healthy upbringing.

Protecting childhood matters for society and for our economy.

Children who are constantly distracted, anxious or sleep-deprived find it harder to learn, thrive and, later in their life, find job opportunities.

Safeguarding childhood is one of the most responsible investments we can make in a healthier and more resilient workforce.

If you agree, and want Labour to act now, please sign our petition and urge them to ban social media for under-16s.

Keir Starmer is plotting to merge the existing 43 police forces into just 12 “mega-forces”.

In Wales that means a single national police force, copying the failed model in Scotland.

In England it means dozens of local constabularies merged into unaccountably large “mega-forces”.

Police resources will be stretched so thin that local priorities will be side-lined.

Rural and neighbourhood policing will be hit especially hard.

And all of this comes on top of Labour cutting police numbers by over 1,300 since they came into office.

Help us stop these plans by signing our petition and sharing it with your friends and family.
Labour are scrapping our local police forces because they don’t trust you.

They’re cancelling local elections, denying millions of people their say. Residents may now have to go up to seven years without a say on who’s running their local authority.

They’re scrapping jury trials, giving more power to judges and less to the people.

They’re hiking taxes to record levels, convinced they know better than you how to spend your money.

And now they’re merging police forces into unaccountably large ‘mega-forces’ that won’t have to listen to local communities.

Help us stop them by signing our petition today

The Conservatives have a fully-funded plan to recruit 10,000 more police officers.

And partner them with Rural Task Forces to ensure rural crime is taken just as seriously as crime in the big cities.

We’d take the police off Twitter and get them stopping real crimes, by scrapping the recording of ‘non-crime hate incidents’.

And we’d triple the use of stop and search, which saves lives.

Only the Conservatives have a credible plan to tackle crime and ensure the police are working on your priorities.

But this can’t wait until the next election.

Tell Labour to protect local police forces by signing our petition today and sharing it with your friends and family.

Labour has proposed merging the current 43 police forces into 12 larger regional forces, a move that risks weakening the vital local connections between police and the local communities they're entrusted to protect

Today Labour were forced into a partial U-turn on their Family Farm Tax and Family Business Tax. They have announced they’ll substantially raise the threshold for their Family Farm Tax and Family Business Tax, sparing many farms and businesses from this cruel and unfair tax.

This is a huge victory for farmers and rural communities across the country, but this did not happen by accident. It happened because we fought back.

Thousands of you attended protests. Tens of thousands of you wrote to Labour MPs to demand change.

And over 300,000 people across the country signed our petition, showing Labour the strength of feeling on this issue.

Family farms are not large corporations. They are often small businesses passed down through generations, run by parents and children together, rooted in their local communities. They simply cannot afford to pay a six-figure inheritance tax bill just to keep their farms running.

When family farms fail or are sold, they are gone for good. This tax would have had a devastating impact on farmers, rural communities and the price we pay for food in the shops.

Farmers are exactly the kind of people Conservatives stand for: hard-working, responsible, family-focused, and committed to passing something on to the next generation. That feels especially important at Christmas, a time when family, care for others, and responsibility are at the heart of what we celebrate.

Today’s is an important win, both for farmers who grow our food and consumers who buy it.

But the fight isn’t over.

For many their family farm or business will still be affected by Labour's tax raid, and we will keep pushing until the tax is lifted from all of them too. And Labour should have cancelled the Family Farm Tax and Family Business Tax altogether.

Please help us keep up the momentum by signing our petition if you haven’t yet, and sharing it with your friends and family.

Labour has shamefully betrayed British farmers with The Family Farm Tax. Sign up to stop it.

Rachel Reeves lied to the British people, so she had an excuse to raise your taxes and pay for more benefits.

This is unforgiveable. She has to go.

Reform, no way.

Reform councils are raising your council tax.

Why? Because they never had a plan in the first place.
