RSPB Exe Estuary Reserves

**During this time, we are encouraging everyone to adhere to Government restrictions on non-essential travel and social distancing. All of our reserves are currently closed (excluding public rights of way). We hope you can continue to experience the joys of nature around your homes and during daily exercise. This will be the focus of our content.**

Discover our diverse network of reserves and facilities, just five miles from the hustle and bustle of Exeter city centre. Be sure to explore the local wildlife through one of our regular events, with something for all ages, including our popular Avocet river cruises.


  • Why not visit our hide at Bowling Green Marsh for incredible close-up views of wetland birds. There’s also refreshments and family fun in our adjacent visitor facility - The Lookout (weekends 11-1, 2-4; school holiday weekdays 2-4).
