💥 Should you fix your energy rates now?

This graph shows the wholesale gas prices today 23rd July 2026 and its rise over the course of the last month. A rise of approximately 50%!

👉 Why does this matter to you?

Wholesale gas prices affect electricity too in the UK as a significant proportion of our electricity is generated from gas power stations and therefore affects the price we pay for electricity as well as those that use gas for boilers, heating etc.

🤔 To Fix or not to Fix? That is the question.

Personally, when the Middle East Conflict began I waited a few weeks then fixed at the beginning of April this year despite paying exit fees on my energy. I'm pleased I did and also advised my UW customers to do the same. The Price Cap has already increased 13% on July 1st and current predictions are a further 6% in October; just as we head into Autumn and Winter when we all use 60 to 80% of our annual energy consumption.

Over the weekend I did a supporting appointment with one of my new partners in UW. The new customer was amazed and managed to save on:
