EXERCISE ALERT!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥

Where: The Laurels Tiverton (Former Vale Vets)

We will be conducting an Exercise event for our local crews this Tuesday 8th between 1800-2100.

There will be Artificial smoke being used and a presence of Fire crews on the site.

Please do not worry or call 999 during these hours at this location, It is a controlled exercise only and not real!
Fire control will be notified prior and will be able to help if any concern’s.

We do these exercises to keep our crews in tip top condition and to maintain a great level of skill competency!

A crew from Tiverton were mobilised as part of the relief effort to an incident in East Lulworth (Dorset) yesterday.

The incident involved a barn which contained 2000 bales of hay and a derelict outbuilding.

A big thank you to the other members of the team who were crewing our 2nd appliance & providing operational cover locally.

Fire control received several 999 calls reporting a fire outside a property in Tiverton. Three fire engines were sent and on arrival crews confirmed the front of the property was well alight and extinguished the fire using:

- 1 Hose reel jet
- 2 Breathing apparatus
- Thermal image camera
- Smoke clearance fan

The fire started in recycling bins and there was 75 per cent fire damage to the front door, windows and facia of the property and light smoke logging of the ground floor.

Fire control has received multiple calls reporting a grassfire with multiple seats in Mincinglake Valley Park in Exeter.

We currently have 20 appliances, a water bowser, and other specialist equipment in attendance.

The incident has been sectorised, and crews are working to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading any further.

Local residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed.

Please avoid the area to allow our crews to work on bringing the fire under control.

The crew have just returned home after their 4th incident of the day.
We were mobilised at 13:41 to a fire in the open at Loxbeare.
Crews from Witheridge, Bampton, South Molton and Barnstaple attended & were joined by local farmers.
Everyone worked hard to extinguish the fire and stop it from spreading.
