Thinking of and praying for those of you getting ready to send your little ones back to school X
The start of a new school year can be stressful for both parents and children. It's a time of big changes and adjustments so here are a few helpful tips to help you prepare for the start of term.
🍎 Chat about it: create a space for your children to share their anxieties before term starts. It might also give you chance to hear what they are really looking forward to.
🍎 Start a tradition: Starting a back to school tradition can be a really great way to celebrate the start of a new year and give your children something to look forward to it they're feeling worried.
🍎 Get back to a routine: For many families bedtime and morning routine goes out of the window over the summer, so try to ease them back into it before they start back
🍎 Try to avoid the last minute rush: This might mean purchasing new uniform, finding and washing old uniform or a trip to top up stationairy. You could also check to see if they received any summer homework, and see how far they've got.
🍎 Keep them in the know: Our children like to understand what is happening and what to expect. How are they getting to school? How will they get home? What will they do after school?
