Big Acorns’ classroom ready for the new Reception children next week!

Look at our new garden and bike storage areas.

Over the summer, we have been busy at school with a brilliant new garden space and bike storage shed being completed.

Today, it has all been finished and the garden is now ready for us to begin thinking about planting when we return. Each class will have their own raised bed to be responsible for and we have a poly tunnel so we can begin to grow seeds for next spring.

A huge thank you to Richard Adams who has built all of this for us over the last few weeks. As you can see, it looks amazing and we can’t wait for the children to see it on their return.

We are looking for donations of bikes and scooters which we can use and store in our new shed. If you have any, of any age and in good condition please do let us know.

If you have a gazebo, please can you bring it along to provide shade at sports day tomorrow morning.

Maggie Fasey Challenge

A big well done to Year 6 who competed in the Maggie Fasey Challenge yesterday.

The challenge features a route navigating between all of the Tiverton Primary Schools and is a chance for Y6s to meet each other before the transition to High School.

It was a hot walk but Y6 showed amazing determination to complete the challenge.

Thank you to Y5 who provided a drinks checkpoint at St John’s for all the teams.

A huge well done to all of our talent show entrants today. We had a brilliant afternoon, full of amazing talent being showcased by our courageous entrants.

Everything is safely back in the shed with a little memory area in KS2 for Starmakers to look at on Monday. ❤️
