Planned road closure in South Street

Planned road closure in South Street. 10th-23rd June.
Access only so you can still walk to the shops but there will be diversions in place for vehicles.
This is so that they can dig out cables and boxes to investigate the outages and network faults that have been happening.

Local Councillors at work.

I’m delighted and very grateful to have once again been chosen by my colleagues to lead the Conservative Group at Hampshire County Council.

While we may now be fewer in number, we remain the largest political group on the Council and we are determined to continue providing serious, constructive leadership during what will undoubtedly be a challenging period for Hampshire local government.

I look forward to working positively with colleagues from all parties in the interests of the people we are all elected to serve across Hampshire.

Thank you too to my Conservative colleagues for the trust and support they have shown me

This is what your local Councillors really do - help local residents!

This is what your local Councillors really do - help local residents!

I was hoping that my first post on my new Councillor page would include pictures of our beautiful area or some of the historic buildings in Wi******er.
Alas, the real life work of a councillor (even though not official until Monday) hits with a bump and so the first pictures I post are of hedges.

Reported today, reference number 21891781. Hedges obstructing the footpath on Longacres.

This will require a site visit to check for nesting birds before any work can be undertaken.

My word. The cheek of this man! I live and grew up here in Fareham , my friends and family also.
We work, raise our families, pay our taxes but aren’t generally ‘affluent’.
Meanwhile here are some of the Reform UK Treasury Spokespersons personal financial details, as taken from Wikipedia…

Jenrick owns three homes: two in London, including a £2.5m townhouse less than a mile from the Houses of Parliament, and Eye Manor, a Grade I listed building in Herefordshire which he purchased for £1.1 million in 2009.[187][188] His constituency of Newark is 150 miles (240 km) from his family home in Herefordshire.[189] He rents a £2,000-per-month property in his Newark constituency,[36] which is paid for by the MPs' second homes allowance.[190]

Affluent indeed!

The Reform MP said the Conservatives were now a 'regional party representing pockets of incredible affluence'
