🏆 The Ultimate House Team Challenge!
We’re excited to launch The Ultimate House Team Challenge! 🌟
The children of Wednesbury Oak Academy have been given an important mission: to design a brand-new set of four house teams for our school!
As you may be aware, our house teams play an important part of school life. Each child is part of a team and together these teams collaborate to earn points to become champions each year through collecting team points for following our school rules or from events such as Sports Day.
It has been a while since we renamed our house teams, so we have decided that now is the time. Who better to decide on the names? Our children themselves!
The challenge is to:
🎨 Choose an exciting theme
🏠 Create four house team names
🌈 Remember our colours are: red, green, yellow and blue
💡 Explain why they chose the theme and the names
We’re looking forward to seeing the children’s creativity, teamwork and imagination as they come up with ideas that will represent us as a school. Could their house teams be inspired by powerful or wise animals, famous explorers, nature, inspiring inventors, or something completely original?
There are no limits to their imagination — the ultimate house team could be just one brilliant idea away! 🏆✨
The closing date for this competition is Friday 25th September 2026. The winner will be announced in assembly the following week and through our social media platforms.
Please present your entry to your class teacher, this could be a poster, a letter, photographs of the theme, drawings – the choice is yours.
