A huge thank you to Kevin Sabiston, Chair of the Thurso Heritage Society, for visiting our Supported Learning class this morning!

It was a fantastic session where students took a deep dive into Thurso’s past. From learning surprising new facts about the town to testing their knowledge in a history quiz, everyone had a great time engaging with our local heritage.

We were proud to be part of an international visit exploring how rural universities can work together to improve access to education for communities across the world.

Colleagues from Linköpings universitet visited multiple UHI locations, including UHI North, West and Hebrides, to share ideas around flexible learning, digital delivery and supporting students in remote areas.

Our Early Education and Childcare students recently welcomed a group of mums and their little ones into the classroom for a hands-on activity session.

With painting, crafts (and lots of mess 😆), the students planned and delivered everything themselves, building real experience and confidence along the way.

Safe to say there were smiles all round 😃
