🌟 Celebrating a remarkable achievement

The Mayor of Castle Point, Cllr Kate Knott, and her Consort were honoured to attend a special celebration event for Aileen Henderson MBE, recognising her outstanding service to the Crown.

Aileen’s incredible 47-year career with Hobson saw her create uniforms for dignitaries, featuring intricate gold stitching, precision machining, and even traditional bearskin hats. She has also played a vital role in training new craftspeople to carry on this highly skilled trade.

Following her retirement in October, it was wonderful to celebrate Aileen’s dedication and achievements with her, many congratulations on a truly well-deserved honour 👏

🎳 A wonderful visit to Benfleet and Canvey Bowls Club! 🎳
The Mayor and Mayoress received a fantastic welcome when they attended the open day of the outdoor bowling season at Benfleet and Canvey Bowls Club. The Mayor, Cllr Barry Campagna, had the honour of bowling the very first bowl of the season - and enjoyed it so much that he’s now considering joining!
Thank you to everyone at the club for such a warm and welcoming visit. It was a pleasure to see the club in action and to help celebrate the start of the outdoor season.
