Event #406 – 7 June 2026
Another fabulous morning at Moors Valley junior parkrun for Event #406!
A brilliant 167 young runners crossed the finish line this week, supported by an amazing team of 30 volunteers who made the event possible.

This week's field included:
92 male runners
68 female runners
7 runners recorded as unknown 😢 (Don't forget your barcodes)

We were delighted to welcome 15 first timers to our event. We hope you enjoyed your run and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Congratulations to the 42 runners who achieved new Personal Bests this week – a fantastic achievement!

Would you like to be part of the 1 millionth parkrun event weekend?!

This Sunday we are looking for volunteers to help put our event on. Could you please help out?

We are looking for
> 4 marshals to cheer our juniors through the forest,
> 1 tailwalker to make sure everyone stays on track,
> 3 barcode scanners to get all the results recorded,
> 2x (or more) token sorters to check and order ready for next week's event,
> 1x warm-up crew to get us all moving before we begin.

When tokens sorting after yesterdays busy event, we discovered tokens 135 and 137 were missing.

Please could you check your (and your responsible adults) pockets to see if they were accidentally taken home, and if found please let us know so we can arrange for their safe return
Token 136 is particularly upset😀

Moors Valley Junior Parkrun – Event 405

What a perfect way to round off half term!
A lovely sunny morning greeted our 268 finishers and 35 dedicated volunteers at Moors Valley for event 405.

It was a fantastic morning for personal bests, with 35 runners achieving a new PB. We also welcomed 23 first timers, 16 of whom were experiencing their very first junior parkrun – we hope you loved it and we'll see you again soon!

What a glorious warm sunny morning for Moors Valley junior parkrun Event 404. It was fantastic to see so many of you with us despite the traffic challenges getting into the park.

A big thank you to Imogen for leading another fabulous warm-up and getting everyone ready to go before heading to the start line.

This week we welcomed 167 finishers, with an amazing 58 personal bests — congratulations to everyone who earned a PB today!

We were delighted to welcome 17 first timers to Moors Valley, including 10 children taking part in their very first junior parkrun.
A huge welcome to Phoebe, Georgia Rose, Siren, Harrison, Felicity, Carter, Clara, Florence, Jax and Violet — we hope you loved it and look forward to seeing you again soon.

We also recorded 10 unknown runners. Don’t forget to bring your barcode next time so we can give you a result!

We had three fantastic birthday celebrations this morning:

🚨 Incident on Horton Road 🚨

Morning all!

Please be aware that there is currently a crashed car being recovered from just outside the entrance to Moors Valley which is causing traffic delays when driving down from the Ashley Heath roundabout.

The road from Verwood is open, but has been closed the other side of the Moors Valley entrance, some cars may be turning around in the junction to the Country park

We’ll keep you updated with any further info as soon as we get it.

Please take into consideration for your journeys today 🙏🏼.

With it being bank holiday weekend we're expecting to be a little busy. With two record breaking weeks in the last three it's likely we'll have another stellar attendance and we'd like a full roster to help with the crowds. If you can help it'd be really appreciated!
