🌿 Thank You – Make a Difference Day, 30th May 🌿

Thorrington Parish Council would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Make a Difference Day on 30th May 2026.

It was wonderful to see so many people giving their time and energy to help improve our local area. Your hard work, enthusiasm, and community spirit made a real difference and helped make the day a great success.

A special thank you goes to our local residents who volunteered their time, as well as the volunteers from the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church and the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) for their fantastic support throughout the morning.

Together, we achieved so much and demonstrated what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

Thank you all for helping to make Thorrington an even better place to live. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to future community events.

📣 Parish Councillor Vacancy – Can You Help Your Village? 🌿
Thorrington Parish Council currently has 1 councillor vacancy, and we really need your help!
👋 Are you passionate about our village?
⏰ Can you spare a few hours each month?
🗣 Want to have a say in local decisions?
Becoming a Parish Councillor involves attending just one meeting a month, keeping an eye on local issues, and helping shape the future of our community. No special qualifications needed—just a willingness to get involved.
Without enough councillors, important decisions about Thorrington would be made by Tendring District Council, and we could lose local control and funding (our annual precept) meant to benefit our village directly.
Let’s keep Thorrington’s voice local.
📧 Interested or have questions? Contact Lynsey, our Parish Clerk, at

or speak to one of our current councillors.
