So many of our children are graduating. We will be holding a graduation ceremony and lunch for the children on Wednesday 8th July 11.30am-1pm. If your child doesn’t normally attend on a Wednesday but they are leaving nursery, they are welcome to attend from 11.30am-1pm. All children remaining at nursery will have lunch as normal. Could you please what’s app the nursery if your child is leaving to start school in September and they would like to attend the Graduation, this is for catering purposes. Please let us know by 15th June.

Nursery Sports Day

Sports day this year will be held on Friday 3rd July 9.45am-10.45am.

All parents/carers are welcome to attend. If your child doesn’t normally attend nursery that day they are welcome to attend for the duration of the event accompanied by a parent/carer.

Availability openings in September 2026

We have a limited number of spaces available in our baby room, toddler room and preschool room for September starts.

We welcome 15 and 30 hour funding and private fee payers. We are able to accommodate shift patterns, and you are able to stretch your funding.

The coming week is going to be hot can you please make sure your child comes to nursery with sun screen on and the bottle is in their bag if you want their own reapplied if not we have factor 50 sunscreen in nursery to use. Please send your child with a hat also a reminder that children must not wear open toe sandals/flip flops. They can wear crocs but the strap must be on.

Due to our cook having an appointment on Monday 18th May we will not be serving the usual hot lunch but the children will enjoy a buffet style lunch. Thank you for your understanding.

Happy Days Holiday Club

Our diary is now open to take bookings for the summer holidays from 22nd July to Tuesday 1st September. Our opening times are 7.30am to 5.30pm, we offer a full range of activities daily and make good use of our enormous outdoor space. Holiday club is for ages 5-12 but if you need childcare through the holidays for a child younger than 5 they are welcome in our nursery provision.

This week we have been focusing on the story the Hungry Caterpillar. We read the story and explored the different fruits and foods in the story. We then explored which foods in the story are healthy and unhealthy, sorting them into groups. On Wednesday we used potatoes to print our own hungry caterpillar. We then counted the different fruits the caterpillar ate on each day. Finally, we explored the textures of the different foods like sausages are soft and smooth and pulled are bumpy.

This week we have been exploring the book 'Superworm'. We have explored different insects that help superworm in the story. We pulled superworms out of jelly and ice using tweezers to practice our fine motor skills. To celebrate Earth Day we made our own Earth using paint and a paper plate exploring the water and land that makes up our planet. Then went on a big hunt to see what insects we find and identify. Finally we looked at which insects are bigger and smaller in a group.
