All social media users of Thetford Town Council pages should be aware that their posts/comments may not be published/or may be deleted if they meet any of the criteria listed below:
•Comments not topical to the article being discussed.
•Comments are politically motivated.
•Profane language or content.
•Contains material that promotes or perpetuates discrimination of protected characteristics inclu
ding but not limited to race, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion or belief, pregnancy or maternity, marriage or civil partnership or gender reassignment.
•Sexual content or links to sexual content.
•Solicitation of commerce.
•Illegal conduct or encouragement support of illegal conduct
•Information that comprises or may compromise the safety or
security of the public or public systems. Content may also be removed if the following applies:
•Any content which may result in actions for defamation, discrimination, breaches of copyright or breach the Council’s equality and diversity or bullying and harassment policies. Users who continue to post content within the above context will be removed from the page.
