Congratulations to everyone who took part in The Summer Reading Challenge 2026: Read to the Beat!

Well done to all the children who signed up, read books, collected rewards and joined in with library activities this summer. If you haven't quite finished yet, there's still time to complete your Challenge. Just visit your local library.

The Summer Reading Challenge website is available all year round, with activities, book recommendations and reading fun. Don't forget to try the Book Sorter, a great way for children to discover new books recommended by other children.

We were delighted to welcome Chinnor U3A to the Library on Thursday to explore the library resources and support available for budding genealogists and anyone interested in uncovering their family history. Our fantastic Family History Volunteer, Claire, was on hand to answer questions, share expert advice, and offer fresh insights into genealogy research.

A big thank you to the Chinnor U3A group for visiting us.

We had a wonderful morning with the talented author and illustrator Yiting Lee, who delighted us with a very special Storytime and draw-along session inspired by her brilliant book, What's the Rush? We loved meeting her characters, Bunny and Turtle, and bringing them to life through drawing.
