Different to previous years, this year's physical Shropshire Chamber Business Award, proudly presented to our winners on the night, has been designed by Jacob Moore, a student at Shrewsbury College.🏆

It's such a special opportunity for Jacob to create an award that represents success and achievement, and one that will be proudly displayed for years to come.

We don't want to spoil the surprise, but the design is truly outstanding. A huge thank you to Jacob for his creativity and talent, and to Shrewsbury College for manufacturing all of the awards. 💙

Continuing to create an intentional, open space for the young talent of Shropshire, we recently held our Young Professionals event at Water Rat Pub Ironbridge. The room was full of great chat and a few strong opinions on pizza toppings, all with a drink in hand. 🍕🍻

This week, through Chamber training, members also strengthened their business LinkedIn presence with Kirsty Smallman of J&PR Ltd, enhanced their presentation skills with TandemComms, and explored deeper customer insights with Phil Bradley of Limbic Training.

We also met with JA Seals Limited and Paige Warren of TRS Personnel to uncover even more ways we can support their growth and help their business thrive. 💙

At our Combined Network Club, members heard from Andrew Goff of IO (Interactive Opportunities), who shared an exciting new initiative he is developing with us to make career opportunities more accessible and visible for school children.📚

And finally, Liz took a trip in Midlands Air Ambulance Charity's helicopter...we're still waiting for clearance on that one.😋 But it was a great catch-up, discussing how we can continue working together to support Shropshire as valuable Patrons.

Our Business Awards judges have been busy this week, travelling across the county, visiting finalists and making those tough decisions ahead of the big announcements on 19 June. 🌟 A huge thank you to all of our judges for taking the time to meet every deserving finalist and see first-hand what makes their businesses stand out. Good luck to everyone in the running! 💙

We also hosted our Professionals Partnership event, where chair Paul Bennett shared valuable insight into how AI is transforming the way professional firms operate.

Network of Women was a big hit again, bringing together inspiring women from across industries to connect and uplift each other. We were also honoured to hear from the High Sheriff of Shropshire, Katy Tanner, who spoke honestly about her journey, her ambitions in the role, and overcoming imposter syndrome. 🫶

Our Patrons came together at our Telford office to catch up and explore how employers can build confident, healthy and resilient workplaces.

We caught up with our lovely members Sol Distribution, Bleazard & Galletta, Eaton Manor.

And finally, Ruth enjoyed a visit to Patron Kraft Heinz and left with personalised ketchup - the only way is Heinz! 😉
