I am writing to ask for your support regarding the increasing number of children bringing toys from home into school and describing them as “fidget toys”. Recently, these have included items such as mini skateboards, squishy toys, Labubus and other novelty items.

Drop off time
We have received some feedback saying it was rather congested around the classroom doors this morning. We are confident this will calm down as everyone gets into the new routines with children in different areas of school etc. In the meantime I have asked that gates are fully opened instead of half opened and also ask that everyone is mindful as everyone tries to navigate through this busy time. As I say, I know this will ease as children gain more independence and routines are established. Thanks for your patience everyone and here’s hoping that tomorrow is as fabulous as today has been! ☺️

We are having a super positive start to the new year ☺️ The only aspect going against us is the weather. Quite a number of children were lacking raincoats today. Please make sure they have a named coat in school as we do take the children out in light rain so that they get some fresh air. Thank you.

If you have any good-condition board games, puzzles, or toys that your family no longer uses, we would love to give them a new home in our classrooms. We are particularly in need of items suitable for key stage 2.

I would like to let you know that our much-loved Site Manager, Mr Thomas, will be spending some time away from Newdale while he undergoes some medical treatment and attends a number of appointments.
