Help shape the future health of people of working age in Telford and Wrekin
Community leaders, charities, voluntary and community organisations, and grassroots groups who Hi are all invited to join in a workshop focused on improving health and wellbeing and supporting active lives.

📅 Tuesday 1 September
🕤 9:30am to 1:30pm
📍 Telford CVS, Hazledine House, Telford Town Centre TF3 4JL
🥪 Light lunch provided

This workshop will explore:
✅ The health and physical health challenges experienced by
people of working age who are seeking work, unable to work, or
economically inactive.
✅ How we can support more people to live healthier, more active
lives.
✅ The opportunities for system change to improve health outcomes.
✅ The partnerships, resources and investment needed to deliver
change.

The workshop will help inform the development of the Sport England Place Partnership funding bid, due to be submitted later this year. We are particularly keen to hear from organisations that support people living with health conditions, long-term illness, poor physical health, inactivity, or other health-related barriers that affect their ability to participate fully in everyday life.

🎉 The Malinslee Big Picnic is TOMORROW! Here's some useful info. 👇

Join us for a huge day of FREE family fun, including face painting, balloon modelling, inflatables, funfair rides, crafts, glitter tattoos, a climbing wall, our new Birds of Prey display and loads more.

📅 Wednesday 5th August

📍 St Leonard’s Field

🅿️ Roads & Parking: We encourage visitors to walk or use public transport to visit the event. Both the 1 and 2 Arriva Bus service stops outside St Leonard's Church. If you do decide to park on the streets, please be respectful of local residents. Neighbourhood Enforcement Officers will be patrolling the area during the day.

🚑 First Aid: Our First Aid point will be at our gazebo located on the field. There will also be first aiders on-site roaming around; If you do require assistance, please ask a member of staff who will be able to call for the nearest First Aider.

🧒 Lost Child: Our Lost Child point will be at our gazebo located on the field. If you have lost your child, please inform a member of staff.

🚻 Toilets: We will have toilets on the field located next to the BMX track. There will also be toilets available in St Leonard's Church.

🍕 Catering: Food and drinks will be available to purchase from the catering vans located on the playing field.

📷 Photography: Staff will be taking pictures and videos throughout the day, which will be used in the Town Councils corporate communications for newsletters, social media, website, press releases and future grant applications. We may also be joined by local media organisations who will be covering the day. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform a member of staff.
