🎉 What a Day! Thank You, Dawley! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Dawley Day 2026 on Saturday!

Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed a packed programme of FREE activities and attractions, including fairground rides, face painting, the gaming bus, sumo suits, football freestyling, inflatables, the foam party, community stalls and much more. We were also delighted to welcome a fantastic line-up of live entertainment, helping to make this year's event one to remember.

Events like Dawley Day simply wouldn't be possible without the support of so many people. We'd like to extend our thanks to our councillors, volunteers, performers, stallholders, partners, contractors, emergency services and everyone who worked behind the scenes to help deliver such a successful event.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so special. Seeing Dawley filled with smiles, laughter and community spirit is exactly what Dawley Day is all about.

We're delighted to be working in partnership with AbilityNet to offer FREE Digital Skills Support sessions for local residents.

Whether you're looking to get more confident using your smartphone or tablet, need help managing emails, want to access the NHS App, or simply have questions about staying safe online, friendly one-to-one support will be available in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Message from our Chair - Councillor Ian Preece:

What a weekend
On behalf of Great Dawley Town Council, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a tremendous success.

To our incredible council staff, thank you for all your hard work, planning, and dedication behind the scenes. Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without your commitment and passion for our community.

Thank you to all of the local businesses, pubs, traders, vendors, exhibitors, community groups, performers, volunteers, and councillors who gave up their time to be part of the day. Your support, enthusiasm, and community spirit helped create something truly special.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along to enjoy the day with family and friends. Seeing our community come together, enjoying themselves, supporting local organisations, and celebrating everything that makes Dawley such a wonderful place to live was fantastic.

The atmosphere was incredible from start to finish, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces throughout the day.
Dawley Day is a reminder of what makes our community so special – people coming together, supporting one another, and taking pride in where we live.

Thank you all for making it such a memorable day. We are already looking forward to next year!

What a brilliant evening at Youth Club last night! 🎮🏀🎨

It was great to see so many young people at Dawley Town Hall enjoying everything from indoor sports and console gaming, to arts & crafts and hanging out with friends. Plus… the free snacks definitely went down well too 👀🍪

Our Youth Club is completely FREE for young people aged 11–16 and is open to anyone attending secondary school, or those who are home-schooled.

⚠️ Please note: we've had a number of items left behind which have gone into Lost Property - These can be collected at our next Youth Club this Thursday, or alternatively by visiting 35 High Street, Dawley.

🎉 Dawley Day 2026 – What a day! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday for one of Dawley's biggest community events of the year.

From free rides and attractions to live entertainment, community stalls, football freestyle shows and the foam party, it was amazing to see our town come together for a fantastic day of fun.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, performed and helped make the event such a success.

This will be for the period of either 1, 3 or 5 years commencing on 1st September 2026.
