⚽ Youth Club Returns This Week
A reminder that the FREE Wrockwardine Wood and Trench Youth Club returns this Friday at Oakengates Leisure Centre.
This fantastic project has been funded by myself, Cllr John Thompson and Safer Stronger Communities, and it has been wonderful to see so many local young people getting involved and making new friends while enjoying a wide range of activities.
Sessions include:
✅ Sports
✅ Arts and crafts
✅ Games consoles
✅ Pool
✅ Darts
✅ Refreshments and snacks
There are still places available for this week's session, but booking is essential.

Love where you live?

Councillor Shirley Reynolds for Wrockwardine Wood & Trench will be leading a community litter pick from the Parish Office at 11am on 19th September, together with fellow ward member Cllr John Thompson.

All equipment will be provided by Telford & Wrekin Council, we can all help keep our lovely community clean and litter free. Street Champions please bring your own equipment.

Let’s come together to help keep Wrockwardine Wood & Trench a lovely place to live. Everyone is welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Free football sessions

This summer, young people aged 11 to 17 can take part in free football sessions at Oakengates Leisure Centre as part of Telford & Wrekin Council's youth offer.

The sessions are:
✅Free
✅Open to all abilities
✅ No booking required
✅Running throughout the school holidays
✅Delivered by the 4 All Foundation as part of the youth offer

Just turn up with football boots or trainers and a water bottle.

🗓️ 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20 August

🚧 Temporary Road Closure – New Trench Road, Trench 🚧

Residents are advised that New Trench Road, Trench will be temporarily closed to allow highway improvement works to take place on behalf of Telford & Wrekin Council.

📅 Date: Wednesday 22 July 2026
🕖 Time: 7:00pm – 5:00am
📍 Location: New Trench Road, Trench
⏳ Duration: 1 night only (until Thursday 23 July 2026)

The works will be carried out by Balfour Beatty and are intended to improve the highway network.

🚗 A signed diversion route will be in place for all vehicular traffic travelling in either direction. Please allow extra time for your journey and follow the posted diversion signs.
