The Orangery will be open next weekend, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June, from 1-5pm as part of the National Garden Scheme open gardens event 🌞🌺πŸͺ΄

Tickets are Β£6 which gives you entry to all the gardens participating for both afternoons, and the money goes to charities supported by the NGS.

We were delighted to see the Friends' chairman, Stewart Henchie, and his group of volunteers from Teignmouth Gardening club and the Friends of Teignmouth Orangery at The Mayor’s Awards, held at Bitton House

Nominated by Iain Wedlake, who said:
"I would like to nominate the Bitton Park Gardening Group (which is a mix of both the above groups) for the Mayor's Recognition Award.

This dedicated group of volunteers, spearheaded by Stewart Henchie, consistently demonstrates their commitment to the community by showing up every Friday to manage and maintain all the planters and flowers in Bitton Park, as well as the beautiful orangery. Their hard work and green thumbs not only enhance the natural beauty of our community but also provide significant savings to the ratepayers by volunteering their time and resources

These group’s passion and community spirit make them truly deserving of this recognition"

Well done everyone! And if you are interested in joining our group at the Orangery, please drop us a message -we're always looking out for more volunteers πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ§‘πŸ§‘
