Four inches of torrential rain falling in some parts of the West Country today; mostly in Cornwall rather than Somerset. Hope none of our friends in our coastal "hotspots" are affected....

Alan was on our Steering Group, lovely man and always wise counsel. We paid tribute to him at our meeting on 28 Sept. All the Group are thinking of his family at this sad time.

More than 300 people filled St John's Church in Axbridge to remember councillor and farmer Alan Ham.

Got some lovely photos of Porlock Weir from Maureen Harvey last week. Theyshow the sluicing of the harbour channel, the first time it has been done in 10 Years. I'll upload them on here and on our web-site as soon as I can!
