This , we’re saying a big thank you to the amazing people who give their time to support communities across Somerset 💚

At Somerset Volunteering, more than 1,400 volunteers help across around 20 council services, from driving people to vital appointments to caring for our countryside and supporting young people.

💚🌞🌄Become a Ham Hill Visitor Centre Volunteer! 🌄🌞💚

Ham Hill is a stunning wildlife haven centred around the UK's largest Iron Age hillfort. The grant funded ‘Uncovering Ham Hill’s past for its future’ project is all about heritage conservation, biodiversity enhancement and community engagement. As part of the project the brilliant new Ham Hill Visitor Centre and Lime Kiln Café opened its doors in December 💚

We’ve already recruited lots of great volunteers who give visitors to the new centre the best experience possible - you'll be meeting and greeting the public, selling gifts, and giving out information. We need a few more people to join the team at the weekend – shifts are just two hours long and we are looking for you to commit to just a shift per fortnight 💛

This is a great opportunity to learn about the history, wildlife & management of Ham Hill, and share your enthusiasm for it 💚
